Local Coffee Shop began its life being community led, and continues to be community led. Our leaders started out just like everyone else; They were regular members hanging out, writing stories, trading ideas, and building friendships.

Over time, each of them stepped up out of genuine care for the community, taking on specific roles that keep this place running smoothly. They share equal authority, but each brings their own strengths to the table, whether that’s behind the scenes development, enforcing our standards of behavior, or keeping the vibe safe and welcoming.

This server is what it is because of their dedication, their time, and their love for the space we’ve created together. They’re not above the community. They are a part of it. They just choose to carry the extra weight so everyone else can enjoy being here.
